Simple scans used to work on this… but it has been a while since their last release :/.
Hiyuki thus went on to translate it. This script had been lying untouched in our forums far too long, my fault.
We couldn’t find good raws and I wasn’t looking forward to working with these horrids. Oh well. If anyone has better Volume 3 raws… Pass em here.

I had actually given up on this manga.
Hi I’m from simple-scans, why didn’t you guys atleast contact us about this? are you trying to spark another series war? we’ve had troubles with translator for this series but we’ve recently acquired one and I am working on chapter 17
I liek them at least. Luckily the raws for the later volumes seem to have better quality.
No. we are not trying to spark a war. I don’t see the need to inform other groups about whatever projects we are going to put out. Why… would this become a war? Ugh. Besides it has been over two months since your last release. Oh well, it always sucks if someone else releases before you, I know that feeling. Finish 17, you will surely get some of the traffic.

I like this series… @ringo i hope you can convince Hiyuki to translate it so you can edit it…. and i hope you can release the next chapter faster… its already complete in japan so i hope you can release faster…. good luck …. more power =P

I apologize for not dropping a mail/note that we’re going to do chapter 17. If we have inconvenienced you or caused misunderstandings, I’m sorry.
It isn’t about the speed actually. It was about using Chinese scans for translation instead of the Japanese. Because of that, you have quite a bit of weird phrases in your releases. I like Hammer Session, so what made me do this chapter was just purely because of all those reasons above. I have no intention to spark any war.
Honestly it’s a pain in the ass to compete with others ._. And Hiyuki is lazy. She’s willing to drop this at any point of time as long the other party doesn’t screw up the releases of a series she likes.
The scans that were used to edit for this release, were Chinese scans tho. Because the Jap raws are blurry.

Please keep translating Hammer Session! I had almost given up reading it until you guys released a new chapter. This series is really great! Thanks alot for your hard work.
I should mention this – right after this release we had a conversation with some of the staff members from Simple-scans, and turned out that we picked it up just as they were starting to get back on it again. Although we like doing it we decided to leave it to them for now, as they have currently have far better private raws and will be able to provide better quality releases for everyone. This is of course only if they translate… If no chapters by them are put out then maybe…

We’re not sure anymore either. Right after we released this (because it seemed that simple-scans had pretty much stopped) we got complaints from them, so we reached a consensus and decided to drop hammer session- so that they could continue with it. about 3 weeks after our ch 17 release they released ch 17 again… (as the group ‘Extras’, they moved the project to that group) And now they have been idle for ~60 days.
We wouldn’t have dropped it if we knew it wasn’t going to be scanlated anyway.
T_T…wheres the light…i cant see…i thought theres a GLIMMER OF HOPE!!…but i cant seem to see it anymore…so sad such great series stopping just at 17 it hasn’t mature yet…so cruel…where’s the justice on it?!

BUT AW!! cant you do something about this simple-scans are so simple minded…so cant the oh great overload scans group do something about hammer session? this series is just amazing…to just stop it so pre-maturely…i say WHERE IS THE JUSTICE on it?!

and as you can see, they did definitely drop it, so I followed up and got in touch with Extra offering raws, and via an email response they said:
“Waiting,
We thank you for contacting us about your offer. However, as we have stated in our news posts, the project leader that handled “Hammer Session” is no longer with us and has been removed from our team. There currently is no staff member interested or willing to fill that position and organize a sub-group to continue with the project. It is very unlikely that we will continue with the project unless we gain enough members that are willing to take over the project or if another group is interested in continuing where we left off.
– Extras Administrative Team”
So Extra has also dropped the project…
Now that we know no group is currently working on this project, and no turf ‘scuffles’ will ensue, may I humbly request (as I prostrate myself on the ground before you) that you once again take up “Hammer Session!”.
Had also been someone offering us raws at the forum. In the end it was concluded that we would not pick it up again. Got no translator for it, sorry.
