   Thanks for the chapter.

   Either the author made a mistake and got chalk for field lines with quicklime for construction mixed up or there was a time when they really used quicklime to draw those lines. I supposse that, in the latter case, either they wetted it before use or after drawing the lines (whick would also made the lines more durable).
