Next picture from Vega. I’ll admit that I never touched FF8. To be honest I think the whole concept of gun-blades is absurd. They’re far, far too heavy for a handgun, you won’t be able to pull out a quick shot if there’s a huge sword attached to your gun. The other way around, the run is really just useless weight on the sword and even disturbs the balance. Oh well.

Actually, it’s called bayonet and is very useful thing in close combat, when you’re surprised and don’t have much time to do anything else – so the rifle could become your weapon and in this case the bayonet in the front is very useful to finish the enemy relatively fast.

There is a SEVERE difference between a Gunblade as seen in FF8 and a bayonet. First off the sword isn’t huge, it’s just a small stab thingy. and it’s a rifle, not a gun so it actually aims well. That knife-gun thing is an obvious joke.

Not sure if it has been pointed out, but the multiple vertical lines on pg 06 are pretty brain-killing, IMHO. I think it’s okay if it’s just a one liner but this is more than one line.

Well yeah sorry about that, couldn’t get the shape nice without weird breaks otherwise. I know people always complain about it and I try to avoid but it just looked so much much better this way. Yes, that was the only reason for doing it. (It’s less annoying then text rotated 90 degrees in my opinion. That’s the worst.)
